When It Leaves Our Hands

For over two years, Osero existed mostly between the two of us.

First as conversations, then notes, research, mood boards, and spreadsheets. Eventually, fragrance samples covered our kitchen counter. Formulation conversations with our perfumer. Learning about neuro-actives, safe synthetics, scent longevity. Packaging, photoshoots, website drafts. And countless tiny details that somehow required very long conversations.

Slowly, this thing that existed in our heads started taking up physical space around us.

And then we launched it.

Suddenly, people we don't know are going to the website and buying something we made. It's such a simple sentence to write, and such a strange thing to experience.

For two years, we knew every detail: why a particular note was there, why the bottle looked the way it did, why we chose certain neuro-actives, why we named each fragrance what we did, why we wanted to build a fragrance brand around presence in the first place.

And then an order comes through.

That bottle is going to someone's home.

It might sit on their bathroom counter. Get thrown into a bag before work. Come along on a trip. Be used before a first date, a big meeting, before a Pilates session, a slow morning or a completely ordinary Wednesday.

Someone else gets to decide which fragrance feels like theirs.

There's something vulnerable and exciting about that.

At some point, when you're building a brand, you have to stop being the only person who gets to decide what it means.

While part of us made Osero for ourselves, we also made it for you.

And now we get to listen and learn which fragrance you reach for and when, and how you describe it, how it makes you feel, what you love, what you want more of. How the fragrances become part of your own rituals.

For two years, our job was to build Osero. Now our job changes a little - it's time to pay attention.

To listen. To learn. To soak this part in.

And to remember why we made it in the first place.
For those who feel the pull to slow, feel, expand.

Osero is finally out in the world.

And now, finally, it's yours.
